When I detect a bit of worry in my thoughts, the best thing I can do is take that thought captive and give it to Jesus.
"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
II Corinthians 10:5
Here is a little something else I do...
I doodle a prayer!
This actually happens to be a doodle prayer for my youngest son Samuel and three of his good friends. They all play football together on the same team. Often, I find myself in "worry mode" over this high contact sport.
I actually put this prayer on my refrigerator so every morning...every time I open the fridge...or pass by it...I am reminded to pray for these little fellows. Sometimes I just repeat one phrase I wrote over and over the entire day. Somehow, God takes my worry away and I rest at peace knowing He is watching over my son and his friends.

I LOVE this...doodling prayers! We are kindred spirits! You know I think these prayers are spoken and doodled straight to God's ear....they are just so real!

What a great idea and a powerful verse. Thank you!
What a GREAT idea! I love it. I have a son that is 6'3 too.
Have a blessed day♥
I can totally understand that mom thing....and this verse is a verse that my husband uses when he speaks about choices. Thanks for sharing I will have to try this idea sometime as I sometimes tend to worry more about my children now then I did when they were living in our home! Sorry to say it doesn't get any easier...as a matter of fact I think this is the hardest part of parenting. But God will carry us if we just let him. Thanks for your words...love it!
Beautiful!! This is a great idea....Sometimes I worry about my children, their future....Sometimes I just cant help it!!!
Oh I like the doodle prayers. I seen a book about drawing out your prayers. Can't recall the name now. It's wonderful the many ways we can bring our concerns before our God. Sometimes we can get stuck praying the same old way.
Love your doodle prayers - what a gift for your kids to see what you're praying for them too :)
